What the role is

We are turning the typical middle school experience on its head, so this is not your average teacher role! In fact, in our model, kids are led by "Learning Coaches", not teachers and they learn via live video and interactive experiences, not classrooms and textbooks.

We are currently hiring workshop facilitators to lead live learning experiences to 4th-8th grade Prisma learners. This position will require about 5 hours per week, which includes prep and 2 hours per week of live facilitation and will be paid USD $170 per week which includes both live facilitation, prep time, and occasional team meetings.

Live workshops will run on Mondays and Tuesdays - 2:30p-3:30p EST / 11:30a-12:30p PST

What you'll do

Workshop Facilitator Role:

• Prep for and facilitate engaging live learning experiences in Co-Lab (simulations, games, discussions, interactive activities) via Zoom to cohorts of ~22 learners in 4th-8th grades. All Prisma workshops include detailed lesson plans and materials developed by our curriculum team.
• Participate in a 30-minute weekly meeting and 30-minute monthly check-in to troubleshoot any concerns and check in with the facilitator coordinator
• Keep track of attendance and participation in workshops in order to write comments and distribute badges at the end of a cycle

Who the ideal candidate is

You are:

• Adept at facilitating discussions and encouraging kids to think for themselves (previous experience with virtual facilitation/teaching is a big plus but not a requirement)
